It eliminates “tunnel” sound with first-mic priority feature. This phone allows for 12 hours of talk time and 36 hours of standby. Average list price $499.95.

3.) Polycom SoundStation 2W EX: This phone is expandable and it does not require an analog phone line. You can use a cell phone. It offers the added security of 64-bit voice encryption.

Some other features include: two-way simultaneous conversation, 2.4 GHz, wireless range of 150’, two battery versions, 12 hrs of talk time or 24 hrs of talk time, portable charger and the only cordless conference phone with recorder capability. Average list price $899.99.

Setting up a cordless conference phone is very easy. It works much like a cordless telephone. You will need a power outlet and analog phone line.

First, connect the base to the power supply and telephone line. Then install the battery on the tabletop phone. Wait for a “bong” sound and a “ready” display on the phone, this means the base and phone are communicating properly.

Let your battery fully charge according to the manufactures directions. You may now program the features on your phone.

Each brand of phone is different but the set up is very similar to setting up a fax machine or programming your cell phone.
